Major refurbishment works of an existing building to create luxury accommodation facilities.
Existing structure was maintained but it was necessary to implement important reinforcements and enhancements, including a new core for stairs and lift. Composite structure panels and steelwork struts and ties facilitated the extension of the floor areas and balconies. Existing roof was demolished and subsequently substituted by a glue laminated timber attic structure with deep beams, rafters and joists.
