Multi-sue building with a two-story basement, commercial area at street level, offices at first floor and flats above. Located in the area of the -clot d’ Emprivat- d’Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra, it was one of the first buildings to be constructed as part of the new urbanism planning of the area.
The temporary soil stability solution was a contiguous wall of anchored micro-piles. A dewatering strategy was implemented to allow dry (workable) conditions during excavation and basements construction. The sub and super structure was designed as a RC frame scheme with spans up to 7.5 m.
