The flat roof of the parking building in San Antoni street, Escaldes, Andorra, was transformed to an attic space for offices that linked to the neighbour headquarters building of BPA.
After demolition works of some existing plant room and storage annexes , a new roof was built as a folded solid reinforced concrete slab on steel columns. These last were designed with semi-articulated connection at the base to minimize the moment transfer to the existing concrete columns below.
The elegant interior design project was finalist of the SALONI Architecture Awards in 2001.
